About the Author

The person behind LOOKS

Paweł Lipka is the creator behind LOOKS. He worked on animation for the internationally broadcast series The Garfield Show, on visual effects for the feature film Suicide Room, and on the animated series Włatcy Móch.

Experience in public awareness campaigns

LOOKS is not the first time Paweł Lipka has been trusted with a message that matters. He produced a multimedia public awareness campaign for the Fundacja KGHM Polska Miedź, the foundation of one of the largest companies in Poland, dedicated to teaching people first aid.

Campaigns like that come with a specific difficulty: the knowledge is genuinely important, yet nobody watches it out of curiosity. It has to be made worth watching first. That work taught him how to carry expert content into a form people choose on their own, and every lesson from it goes into LOOKS, where the same task is repeated on an international scale.

Roots in painting

Before his professional career began, the author of the project studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Poland. These works come from his years at the Academy, and they still shape the eye behind LOOKS.

Selected work

These are films produced by Paweł’s own animation studio, the same craft and team that now shapes LOOKS. Below, a general showreel, examples of animated commercials, and a short documentary sample that blends video with animation.

The studio in one reel

A short montage drawn from many productions, gathered into a single pass through the studio’s range and style. The quickest way to see how these images are made.

When a product needs to feel like more than a product

Television and online spots built in animation, where a product can be shown in a bold, unconventional way that ordinary footage rarely allows.

Where documentary becomes art

A short sample of documentary that blends live video with animation, so the film stops being merely informative and moves closer to audiovisual art. This is the language LOOKS is made in.
